It's funny how ideas spring out of the most obscure places.
Myclublink evolved out of a chance meeting between two friends, Andy Mitchell and Julie Hanson. Julie had just written a book on seasonal health exercising and living . She wanted Andy's opinion on taking the seasonal system of training into gyms and clubs. Andy, who had worked in the sector, went away and had a think about it.
Some time passed...
Then while working out one night Andy had a light bulb moment. Thinking how he could help Julie, he wanted to ask someone at the gym what they thought of her idea but he didn’t actually know anyone:
“Here I was working out in a room of 50 or so individuals doing their own thing and keeping themselves to themselves. I didn't know any of the personal trainers, I never read the notice board and never tried any classes because I didn't really fancy going on my own.”
He thought how useful it would be if there was a common online club where members and staff could meet and get to know one another. Myclublink as a concept was born!
Over the following months Andy and Julie set about putting together a team that would turn his idea into reality.
“We've created MyClubLink because we're passionate about getting people involved in sport and involved in their local club”.
Myclublink helps clubs effectively communicate with their members, keeping them informed with what is happening within the club and get them more involved in club activities.
